Error: "The Printer is not Responding"

The printer lost connection to wifi--reconnected and still getting this error. I have the option to connect to a single access point, or select a single one via the mesh wifi network. I have tried both options-same error.

Initially using Mac OS 12 and updated all driver/software update--same error.

Updated to Mac OS13, restarted laptop (MacBook Pro 2017) and the printer, same error (I updated the drivers again after installing Mac OS13).

This happened within the last few days, 10/24/2022. I noticed a firmware update from June on the support site, but when trying to connect a USB to my laptop, I get an error that the device is not recognized (I have to use adapters to connect USB to my MacBook Pro which only has thunder ports.

Please advise. Printer worked fine a week ago, and now can't get it to print at all.

Hi there,

It looks like the MAXIFY MB2320 has been retired, which means support from Canon USA directly is no longer available. The Canon Community may be able to offer suggestions though!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to see what your options might be to help get you into a discounted current-generation printer that would be compatible with your current needs. They're at 866-443-8002.

I have gotten this error every time that I use a wireless connection. When I do a direct link (hardwired) from the router to the printer, it works fine. I suspect the 2320 has an incompatibility with the wifi. My Asus wifi router is new with loads of low level security that I do not completely understand. I suspect this is the problem. Bottom line, try using a Cat-5 cable to connect your printer to your network, rather than wifi. Good luck.

Thanks ya'll!! I was able to print wirelessly from my iPhone and decided to try from the computer again. Ends up there were two MB2320 options in the menu. One apparently is connected to nothing, the other finally worked and printed. Thanks for chiming in for suggestions!
