Maxify GX6021 locked into Paper Jam (Support Code 1303) when there is no paper jam

I have opened up this printer in every approved way and confirmed there is no jammed paper.  I had two sheets in the top feeder that were both grabbed and went in a couple inches when the error occurred.  I could extract them but now the printer is stuck in this Support Code 1303.  All I can do is turn it off and on and it goes right back to this error condition.  I can't get any other buttons to respond so I can't run any maintenance to help it realize there is no paper jam.  Please tell me there is a solution to this confused printer without having it serviced.

Greetings,

Have a look at this KB.

Support Code 1303 Appears (Paper Jammed when Feeding from Cassette) - GX6020 https://share.google/TPGGLPgaMk3LDwc9A

Look closely.  A flashlight is often helpful. A lint free cloth with alcohol is also helpful for clearing debris and residue, and cleaning sensors.

Thank you, Rick. I'll give that a try.  (Sorry about the duplicate post, put it in the wrong forum to start and couldn't see how to fix it)

Is there some reference to where the sensors are inside the GX6021 or how to recognize them?

Continued messing with it eventually got the rollers to move and cough up a 1" by 2" piece of paper from its deep innards.  So the printer was right after all.  (Sitting there with its smug face LOL).

Thanks again for the advice and maybe cleaning sensors will help someone else in the future.

Happy to hear it.  Great work. Nothing it more satisfying 😊
