I have an MF654Cdw printer/scanner. It is connected to my computer (iMac) by WiFi -- both the printer and computer are connected to the same WiFi. I am able to print. Yesterday, I was able to scan a document and save it to my computer. Today, the scanner doesn't work. I get a "Cannot communicate with the scanner....Error code 600108." I have turned off both the printer and the computer and turned them back on again. I have verified that the WiFi signal is strong -- the router is 24" from the printer. I have downloaded the scanner driver again. Still no luck. What else can I do?

No-one has any suggestions? How about someone from Canon support? I've had this printer for less than a month and already it isn't working properly.

Hello,
If the scanner was working the day before and now you get a communication error only when scanning, it looks like a drop in network communication or a weak signal. In this situation I would suggest, power cycling the router that is connecting the devices by unplugging the router from the power for 5 seconds. If the printer is 25 feet away from the router, you can try moving the printer closer to see if the scanner communication error clears.
If you continue to have issues after those steps, I suggest contacting support at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to check the network environment and security settings to see what might be causing the communication error.
