MF654Cdw (Color Image Class) Indicator light flashing red

I have always been able to print from my computer to my printer. Tonight is the first time I have ever had any difficulty with my new printer. The triangle indicator light on the control panel is flashing red. There is no paper jam. I have turned it off and back on. I have unplugged it from the wall for a few minutes. 

Any suggestions to get it back on track?

This may be a communication problem with the toner cartridges or an internal paper jam.  

Power off the printer.

Open the ADF check for any jams or torn corners of paper.  Open the rear duplexer unit. Look for any jams or torn paper edges.  Remove the paper tray and look for a misfed page or ripped edge of paper in feeder.  

Finally, open the front compartment. Slide the toner carrier out and remove each cartridge one by one.  Use a cloth to wipe the contacts on each cartridge clean.  Inspect the carrier for any debris or loose toner.  Power the machine back on. See if the error is cleared.
