Hello,
I have an MF455DW Printer setup with the MF Scan Utility on my PC. I am trying to scan certain documents and they come out unreadable when scanned via this method. If I just do a normal "Copy" on the printer, it prints out beautifully, dark/crisp/readable. So if it's using the same scanner to do both, why are my digitized images so poor?
There doesn't seem to be a way to set the 'density' while scanning to PC.

Hello Aimbit,
Depending on what option you are using in the scan utility, the image can have different results. I would usually suggest scanning using the document scan option with the setting set to black and white scan. That would be the setting that matches the black and white copy setting. In the MF scan utility, you can click the option for settings in the lower right hand corner and the settings for each scanner button appears. You can check if the color is set to grayscale, color or black and white, you can also adjust the scan resolution from that window.
