I just installed a brand new Canon MF451dw laser printer, which is specified to have a maximum printing resolution of 600dpi, and downloaded/installed the latest Windows 10-64-bit driver for it directly from Canon's support page (MF450MFDriverV720W64.exe).
The driver reports maximum print resolution as 300 dpi and does not allow changing it.
How do I enable 600 dpi print resolution?

Hello Dwneumann,
The screenshot above looks like you are currently using the generic Windows driver. In this situation I would suggest removing the current connection for the printer and reinstalling the drivers.
You can press the Windows key and the letter R key at the same time on your keyboard. In the run box that appears, you can type in control printers and click OK. You can right click on any connections for the printer and select the option to remove the device.
Once the connections have been removed, you can try reinstalling the MFdriver one more time.
