MB2300 won't allow cartridge change

mpittscampbell

When I open the door to try to change a non-printing cartridege (no warning message has been shown), the printer's screnn simply warns me that the front cover is open. The installed software also, suddenly, claims that the printer is not connected but still allows me to print. MacBook Pro, OS X 10.14.2

Hi mpittscampbell,

The MAXIFY MB2320 will not allow the ink tank to be replaced until the printer detects that the ink tank is empty.

In regards to the error that you are experiencing when attempting to print, what error code appears on the display of your MAXIFY MB2320?

No error code whatsoever. Supply levels on printer's screen show magenta as nearing low but there have been no warnings, neither the "may be low" nor "out".

Printer behaves completely normally, except for not printing with magenta cartridge. Scanning behaves normally.
