MB2120 Error Code 5c01

I keep getting this error message and the process of off & on does NOT clear it.  HELP!

Error 5C01 is documented in the product's manual.

Cause

Printer error has occurred.

What to Do

Turn off the printer and unplug it.

Plug in the printer again and turn it back on.

>>If this does not solve the problem, contact your nearest Canon service center to request a repair.<<

Options are repair or replacement.
