MAXIFY MB5120: USB issues connecting

I have a canon mb5100 printer/scanner.  When I go to insert my USB (that has been used successfully before!) the printer or usb beeps.

If I take out the beeping USB & insert a different one I do not have any issues.

Any ideas?

"My USB" doesn't mean anything.  Are you talking about a USB flash drive, or a USB cable that connects the printer to a computer?
