My ink tanks are nearly empty (everything I print is super light), but my printer won't let me change the ink tanks. I have followed the instructions, but the tanks never move into place to be replaced. I work from home and need to print things on a regular basis, so I can't wait to get help.
Suggestions?
Thanks!

Hello Jrhellzen,
The ink in the printer is under pressure and when the pressure drops, the printer knows the ink is empty and goes to the changing position. If the tanks ae empty and are not going to the changing position, it will usually mean that the tanks are not seated properly or there is something wrong with the ink or ink system.
If you are using third party tanks, they could be causing a problem with the ink system causing the issue. You might want to check with the ink provider to see if they have any solutions for the issue. If you are using Canon tanks, I would suggest contacting support at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to see what might be going on with the hardware and provide any service options.
