MAXIFY MB2720 how to clear code 2802

Code 2802 will not clear. There are no papers hung in autofeed tray. Code will not clear after pressing OK. My printer will not work due to this code. I have tried unplugging to reset it. This code still comes up. I have checked the feeder as well to make sure no torn pieces of paper are in the feed roller.

The 2802 error comes up when a scan is requested from the Auto document feed and it does not detect a document. To clear the error, you can check the ADF for any jams and then you can reload the document into the ADF. If the document is loaded properly, the MB2720 will beep when it detects it. If reloading the document or checking the ADF does not resolve the issue, it would mean the printer needs service. You can log into your MyCanon account to check your available service options.
