MAXIFY MB2720 error 5040

Hi Everyone, I am having a printer error on my Canon Maxify MB 2720 all in one printer. The error code I am getting is B504, which I believe is the new 5040. I have followed the directions from the error message but cannot resolve the issue. I believe I may have created the issue by taking out the Cyan ink and putting it back in when I realized I didn't have a replacement. It won't even allow me to replace the ink. Please help! Thank you all so much!

Hello!

You're getting a B504 error (like 5040) on your Canon Maxify MB2720, likely because removing and reinserting the cyan ink cartridge triggered a print head protection mechanism. To fix it, first, power cycle your printer by unplugging it for 5-10 minutes. If the print head is stuck, gently try to manually move it to the center while the printer is unplugged, or unplug it mid-initialization. Once accessible, replace the problematic cyan cartridge with a new one, ensuring it clicks into place, and check other cartridges too. If the error persists, try running a print head cleaning cycle from your printer's maintenance menu.
