MAXIFY MB2720 Unable to complete reinstallation, printer shows support code SC01

I have windows 8.1.  I have been trying to reinstall my Canon Maxify mb2720 printer however when I get to the printer search method selection nothing comes up that will allow me to continue to the next screen, however when I click on specify the IP address and run the search I am allowed to click on the next button however when I get to the next screen there is nothing to allow me to go forward. I also keep getting support code SC01 on my printer window Is there a fix for this?
