ImageClass MF642C/643C/644C printer - Leaving terrible streaks and drops of toner on prints

JamesScott

I have had this printer for a couple of years now and don't use it all that often. Shortly after I purchased in (NEW) it started leaving bad streaks and random droplets/dots of toner on the prints/copies. Unfortunately, not using it all that often meant that I wasn't urgently needing a resolution. However it is time to get it fixed or throw it out. Just want it off my plate of things to do.

Looked online to find a solution and it says to make changes that I cant even seem to find in the menu section or settings.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  #MF642C/643C/644C

Greetings,

I'm sorry that you're having a " long-term" issue.  Ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away. Fortunately your ImageClass product has a 3-year warranty.  One thing which is important is to use Canon brand toners.  Not only do you get the best consistency and reliability, but Canon toners also come with a warranty.

In this case I would suggest reaching out to Canon support.  Start by registering your printer in your MyCanon account, then call the number below.

If you'd like assistance from fellow users here (myself and others) please tell us the exact model of your Canon product.  The model of your ImageClass printer is on the front lower right panel.  Please also confirm that you're using Canon brand toners.  I've seen third party toners work great, other times we've seen them cause issues like the ones you're describing.   Periodic maintenance and cleaning can sometimes help.  We will do our best to direct you to the right place. 🙂

Thanks for joining the conversation, JamesScott!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using.  The model number should appear on the front of the unit at the lower right. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!
