ImageCLASS MF656Cdw does not print from RAW format

We are a community connect rural hospital, we recently purchased the ImageClass MF656Cdw printer. After quite a bit of troubleshooting, we discovered that the printer will not print documents that use the RAW format. I'm not sure what we need to do to get this issue resolved. The option to print from the RAW format is selected on the printer but alas no prints. We are able to print from any other format or program, but the issue lies with the RAW format. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

We are printing from Windows. Both ELR and EMR (Epic), also tried printing from RAW Format from Windows 10. With Epic it does nothing, from Windows it beeps but does not print. It does print from the Canon Driver but not from the Microsoft Driver.

RAW images require conversion.  e.g. by using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop (via Adobe Camera RAW), Canon's DPP, and others.

I apologize, it seems that I have given you the impression that we are using a camera for these prints. If so, that is not correct. We are using the Canon ImageClass MF656Cdw printer, and are unable to print from ELR and EMR (Epic) programs on several Windows 10 PCs.

Digging deeper into this now.  Have you contacted Epic for guidance?  This is proprietary software.  Does the purchase come with any support?

Please show us where you have RAW selected?

Is it in the Epic software?  Please provide an example.  Obviously, we don't want to see any patient info. 🫣

I see a multitude of posts from others having issues with this software...

It seems its not as easy as buying a printer and pressing print with Epic.  I worked in healthcare for 12 yrs before IT.  This looks like a perfect retirement niche.  😂

We do have Epic support but it not an Epic problem. Here is explanation of RAW Printing quoted from PrintNode.com

"RAW printing is sending a string of commands to a printer directly in its native language. Many printers that are popular with PrintNode users support this. RAW printing bypasses the printer's drivers, making it very fast and reliable. It is perfect for printing receipts, barcodes and text-based labels."

Our problem is that this particular printer will not except a RAW job from any program even though RAW is enabled on the printer. We have tried updating the Firmware, Disabling and re enabling RAW and other basic troubleshooting. We are a professional IT Dept for the hospital, so basic support and troubleshooting has already been performed. 

Is there anyone that knows why this printer in question will not accept a RAW print job, as defined in the quote above.
