Hi aluwishous.
Please unplug the printer from the wall, and then remove the toner cartridge. Before reseating the toner cartridge, look inside the machine, to the left, and you will see the toner sensors that will resemble paper clips. Verify that none of them are stuck in a down position. If it does appear that one of the sensors is pushed in, I recommend that you contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666).
If the sensors look fine, please reseat the toner and firmly close the toner cover door. Next, plug the machine back in and make a copy. If the error persists, please contact us. I hope this information is helpful to you.
