Cover won't close on my imageCLASS MF465dw after reinstalling toner

I have a brand new imageCLASS MF465dw printer.  I had a paper jam and followed the instructions that appeared on the screen to remove the jammed paper.  Now, after reinstalling the toner cartridge the front cover will not close.  Help!

Thank you for your response.  I reached out to Canon support and they talked me through the solution.  They were extremely gracious, patient and helpful.  I am impressed.  I also feel kind of foolish.  Turns out I was attempting to put the toner cartridge in backwards.  When we figured that out it snapped right into place just fine and the cover closed quite easily and gently.  The only gentle 'complaint' I have is that it appeared to slide in easily and click into place when I had it turned the wrong way.  I also hadn't noticed the arrow on the toner cartridge that was supposed to be pointing into the printer as I had it pointing out of the printer.  I don't recall seeing any documentation that pointed out the arrow and how that should be oriented relative the printer.

Greetings,

Either the toner cartridge you removed and replaced wasn't reseated properly, or the toner carrier (drawer) is not fully pushed back into the printer.

Slide the drawer back out and ensure the toners appear to be seated uniformly.  Then gently slide the drawer back into the printer.  Now gently close the cover.  If the drawer is protruding this will keep the cover from closing.
