PIXMA TS3722 - Won't connect to Wifi or print from Chrome also paperjams

ephoenix6

I just purchased the TS 3722 printer and I will never buy another Canon printer again. I could not connect via Wi-Fi. I managed to connect via USB cable. After installing the driver, the printer is still not listed in the Chrome browser on Windows. The paper has jammed multiple times. I get error messages from prints and the q that I can't seem to remove on Windows. I didn't have all this hassle with the previous brother printer that I bought. There are also several QR codes on the printer for instructions on how to set up different parts. I don't see why they couldn't also add a QR code for this particular device. I don't think it's fair to not give people a reliable product if they don't spend at least $100 on a printer

I will never purchase from this company again. I just purchased the TS 3722 printer. It would not connect via Wi-Fi. The Patriot paper jammed. The printer driver isn't recognized on Google Chrome. Several print cues did not register. I can't believe after all these decades, you all don't have a reliable setup. It appears that my previous post was removed. I apologize for telling the truth. I think that telling the truth is constructed toward fixing your problems

Greetings,

Instead of telling us what the printer wouldn't or won't do, it would be helpful if you tell us the steps you performed and what you did / steps you performed?

The printer requires a 2.4 GHz broadcast that supports WPA2 encryption.  It will not connect to a 5 GHz network or to a network that uses WPA3 encryption.  Please confirm your network meets these requirements.

The printer has to be put into Wireless Setup Mode in order to connect to a wireless network. Here are instructions:

Drivers / downloads for your device for available are available here:

I'm using Chrome downloads are verified working.

If paper is jamming in your printer try fanning it before you load it and make sure that you're not loading more than the capacity of the feeder.  The rear tray can hold up to 60 pages.

Thank you. I do have a 5ghz network. I did not know about the paper limit. I managed to connect via driver and wired connection. I would be nice if the USB cables was bundled in. For some reason, the windows is recognized the printer. But the printer didn't appear in the chrome browser. I had to override the chrome print menu using ctrl + shift + p. For some reason, accessing this menu sometimes caused the web browser to crash. In addition, after an error, resetting the printer didn't seem to reset the print function. So is have several prints in the queue, and they wouldn't register

That sounds annoying as hell! I would completely uninstall the printer and drivers from windows, then clear print jobs and install with the newest Canon software from scratch. If you’re also jamming paper all the time, you might also have some hardware damage you should speak to canon about.

Let's start from the beginning. I take it you have a Brother printer last before the TS3722? This is a situation I am familiar with, I owned a Brother all in one that died, and I purchased a TS3722 to replace it, using a Windows Computer. I had no trouble installing it and making it work. I didn't keep the TS3722 for long but not because it didn't work, I wanted a printer to do larger images than the T33722 would do. I replaced it with a Canon MG3620 printer . I also own a wide body Canon IP8720 pro photo printer, in other words I have no issues with Canon printers.

Here are the steps I took to install the TS3722

1: Completely uninstalled the Brother printer, all traces of it. These are the steps I took, and you may need to do this with the Canon as well then reinstall it.

Steps to Completely Uninstall a Printer in Windows

Uninstall the Printer

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Navigate to Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  3. Select the printer you want to remove.
  4. Click on Remove Device.

Remove the Printer Driver

After uninstalling the printer, you may need to remove the associated printer driver to ensure complete uninstallation.

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Go to Programs and Features.
  3. Find and uninstall any program related to the printer driver.

Clean Up Remaining References

To ensure no remnants of the printer remain, follow these steps:

  1. Open Devices and Printers.
  2. Click on any printer and select Print Server Properties at the top.
  3. Go to the Drivers tab.
  4. Select the printer driver you want to uninstall.
  5. Click Remove and choose Remove driver and driver package.

Registry Cleanup (Optional)

If you still encounter issues, you can clean up references in the Windows Registry:

  • Open the Registry Editor by pressing Windows + R, typing regedit, and pressing Enter.
  • Navigate to the following paths and delete any entries related to the Brother printer, be careful here make sure you do not delete anything that does not say Brother in it.
Registry Path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Drivers\Version-3

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Drivers\Version-4

2: Do not connect the printer until told to do so (using a printer cable to set up the printer eliminates a lot of trouble.)

Downloaded the TS3722 master setup package
https://pdisp01.c-wss.com/gdl/WWUFORedirectTarget.do?id=MDEwMDAxMTE2MzEw&cmp=ABR&lang=EN

Right click the link and save to your desktop, makes it easier to find, so many folks come here and say I downloaded it but don't know where it is.

3. Run the install setup file, you may want to uninstall the Canon first using the same step posted above, actually I think you should do that first. Follow the steps the install file provides to the letter.

4. Do not overload the paper, 50 sheets is the max, and I never loaded that much at first.

5. This is a down the road instruction, do not use any third party ink cartridges for this printer. I know Canon cartridges are expensive, but you really do get what you pay for.

Let us know how it goes.

I meant to add this about printing from Chrome, once the printer is connected to widows, it will print from Chrome:

Steps to Print from Chrome to Canon PIXMA TS3722 on Windows

1. Check Printer Connection

  • Ensure the Canon PIXMA TS3722 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Windows computer.
  • Verify that the printer is powered on and ready to print.

2. Install Printer Drivers

  • Make sure the latest drivers for the Canon PIXMA TS3722 are installed on your computer. You can download them from the Canon website if needed.

3. Print from Chrome

  • Open Google Chrome on your Windows computer.
  • Navigate to the document or webpage you want to print.
  • Click on the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of Chrome.
  • Select "Print" from the dropdown menu.
  • In the print dialog, choose the Canon PIXMA TS3722 from the list of available printers.

4. Finalize Printing

  • Adjust any print settings as necessary (such as number of copies, layout, etc.).
  • Click the "Print" button to start printing.
