Colors on left edge of print

All, 

 

When I pring anything I am getting a rainbow of colors fading from the left edge of the pater for just over an inch.  Any ideas?

Could be a build up of ink on the paper feed rollers. If you can manage to feed a sheet of paper through without actually printing an image then this would prove it. Try a printer clean routine, Canon usually have one in their software package, if not you may have to do it manually.

Please perform cleanings for the fixing unit and the internal transfer belt (ITB). To perform the cleanings, please follow the instructions at the links below:

Performed the transfer belt and cartridge cleaning as specified in the instructions.

 

Printed a blank piece of paper, no rainbow edge

 

Printed a resume, rainbow edge is there

Tried calling.  Does not recognise my model when spoken ImageClass MF8280Cw
