My printer is an Imageclass MF8350, I print only in black, not grayscale. I am thinking that the color ink dries up and i am forced to buy another cartridge. It would be great for the printer to work even without color cartridges inserted or empty color cartridges.

Hello Jpatwheel,

The MF8350 uses toner powder so you don't have to worry about it drying out. You can still use the printer if the color toner cartridges are empty but, the cartridges will need to stay in the printer. You can use the steps in the link HERE to print when the toner is low/empty.
