Canon mf624cw

Hello,

I am having an issue with my mf624cw printer where each time i try to print, the printer has an error. Symptoms of the error include the processing data indicator flashing without any printing. The only work around i have found is to turn off and turn back on the printer. Once i do that printing works fine. I have tried running windows troubleshooter with no help. I have tried re adding the printer to my laptop. The issue keeps occuring. I'm close to going full blown office space on this thing. Has this issue been encountered before? Any tips?

Hello Avesa2,

We would be happy to assist with the issue. To provide some feedback or some troubleshooting steps, we would need some additional information. If you could reply to this message with the information below, we can provide some assistance. For a more immediate resolution to the issue, you can also contact our support team at 1-800-652-2666.

  1. What version of the Windows operating system are you using on your computer?
  2. What error message do you get on the printer display or on your computer when the issue occurs?
  3. Are you connecting to your computer via USB or is it over a network?

1. Windows 10 - 20H2

2. Usually I do not get any error message on the computer. There is also no error message in the printer. Instead, the green light just blinks continously for "processing data". However, there is no error. The print jobs just stay in a queue with nothing happening.

3. I am printing over a wifi network.

Hello Avesa2,

If you are not getting an error on the computer or the printer display, it will usually point to a problem with network communication or the driver used to print. You can try reinstalling the recommended driver for the printer using the link HERE. If that does not resolve the issue, you an try unplugging your router from the power for 5 seconds and then plugging it back in. Once the network is back up, you an try printing again to see if works. if you are still unable to print, I would suggest contacting support at 1-800-652-2666. our agents would be happy to assist with the issue and get you up and printing again.
