Canon MF743Cdw will not print gradient fill

My Canon MF743 Cdw will not print gradient fill boxes.  I've tried pages (mac) and PDF.  I can print the gradient fill on my B&W Brother printer so it's not the software. The toner is full and was recently replaced. The firmware is up-to-date.  I've gone through the gradient fill calibration process on the printer.  It also did not fix the problem.  Everything else, including color photos, will print. It's only the gradient fill boxes that will not print.  Any suggestions?
