Canon MF645x scan resolution 9600x9600... how do I use it?

Hi guys. I notice that the claimed specifications for scanning with these MFP's is "9600x9600" with "driver enhancement", however I can see nothing that enables me to select this.

How do I specify these higher resolution  scans? I'm using Windows 10 and the following drivers... https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/laser/laserbas...

Thanks. Smiley Happy

Ok guys after going mad I went back to the start and tried re/installing Canon ScanGear MF form here https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/laser/laserbas...

Re-installing it seemed to work and it now ran. Using this tool I was able to:

1. Open the Canon MF Scan Utility

2. Select the "ScanGear" button from the menu options

3. Click the "Advanced Mode" tab (you start in Basic mode).

4. Manually change the "Output Resolution" to the desired figure up to 9600x.

I tries 1200dpi and it was a big improvement over 600dpi so I am now finally very happy. This MFP has been a HUGE pain in the ass to set up though. 🙂

Greetings,

The MF645Cx's scan resolution is 600 x 600 on the platen and 300 x 300 using the ADF.

Its interpolated resolution via software is 9600 x 9600.

I don't have a Canon Scanner, but you should be able to adjust the resolution in the MF Scan Utility.  I don't believe the max resolution is available in ScanGear.

Hi and thanks for the reply I appreciate it! Ok I will take a look and see if I can find it, but so far I haven't noticed any ability or visible option to scan at 9600x9600...

I still can't see a solution for this... any ideas guys? 🙂
