Hello I have had this printer for a while and I have tried to do everything I was told to do.
Problem since I opened the box and installed the correct drivers on Canon MF4450 I have never been successful in comunicating with the printer. I have tried XP, Windows 7, Win 10 computers connected to the Canon 4450 and no such luck. The drivers all loaded correctly and the USB cale replaced more than once. No communication is the problem. I have used customer support and they said that take it to a repair facility (which could cost over $100) and then I could buy another printer for that amount. So I just use it to print manually, and now it sits unused. Warranty period was for one year and it was'nt even (out of the box) opened in the box for that period of time. I have since used other brand of printers and they do all my work for my needs. I do like canon though I have an imageclass MF 6530 monster. Some problems but old. I just though of giving a last shot of MF4450 effort. Installing dirvers doesn't comunication with printer. Not a diver problem. Not a USB cable problem. It just won't work or communicate with any computer. So it sits gathering dust.....Wouldn't work when opened the box and It was hard have to fatham...believe it being new......prints manually just fine.....
