Canon LP6030/640/6018L ImageCLASS is printing blanks

Hello,

 

My problem began when I went to print something after not using the printer for a few months.

 

This is pertaining to the Canon LP6030/640/6018L ImageCLASS printer

 

I did a fair amount of troubleshooting before joining the forums in search of help. Hopefully someone can help. Thank-you!

 

Here are the events in chronological order:

 

I was able to print ONE thing the first time I tried but the ink was very faint.

 

After that, it would load the paper but paper would come through blank.

 

I thought maybe it was the cartridge so I replaced the cartridge with a brand new one.

 

Prints test page fine from utility. Nice and crisp.

 

When printing from a file the paper loads and comes through blank.

 

Ran cleaning utility

 

Tried printing afain a few times from varios files (email, pdf, etc)

 

Same results with all. Paper loads as if it is going to work but only returns with blank sheet.

 

Please help. I have never had any problems with this printer. Thank-you again!

  1. What version of the Mac or Windows operating system are you using on your computer?
  2. Are you connecting via USB or is it over a network?
  3. Are you able to make a copy from the glass or is that blank as well?
