Is there a way to turn off the message on start that says "Error connecting to cartridge, it is possible it's a counterfeit..."
By pressing OK it goes away, but can it be disabled entirely?
Canon Genuine Mode is disabled.

@serpher,
It sounds like the printer is operating as expected. Canon Genuine Mode only checks for the presence of an OEM ink or toner cartridge. A communication failure is not part of the genuine mode check. That error means the printer is unable to communicate with the installed cartridge.
