Can't open the icon in the Toolbox 4.9

  Hello all:

  Today I want to scan a file with scanner of Canon MF Toolbox 4.9.

   After open the shortcut of scan of Canon MF Toolbox 4.9 and continue to open scan-1, it stopped open and 

says:

                                           Cannot communicate with the scanner.

                                           The cable may be disconnected, or the scanner may be turned off.

                                            Check the scanner status and try again.  ...          

     What is the way to solve this problem?

I have uninstalled, re-installed several times. I am a level 4 tech and mine is still not working on win 7.
It stopped after last update 3 days ago. I had used it less than a week ago. Canon needs to find a fix or give another program.

Had same problem, tried everything with no result.

Then I installed MF toolbox on drive D, now it just works! 

It is probably to do with windows getting even more fussy as to who can write to the default 'C:\Program Files\Canon\CanonMF' directory.

It probably will work on drive C, just install it outside the program files directory, ie 'C:\\Canon\CanonMF'.
