I have been using a pixma 150TR for over 2 years and regularly printing documents in landscape orientation with no issues. Recently it has started printing wavy lines. I scoured the internet and attempted to clean everything I can get access to in the printer. The number one recommendation is to clean the encoder/timing strip which is supposed to be a clear strip that I cannot find in this model at all. I also note that when I print a document in portrait mode it is totally fine, so does not make sense for it to be a smudge somewhere causing the problem. What is the problem?!?

Hi kim6,
Please perform a manual alignment. To do this, please follow the steps provided here:
TR150 series > Maintenance > If Printing Is Faint or Uneven > Aligning the Print Head Manually
If your printer still prints wavy, it would require service. You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.
If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Monday through Saturday, 9am to 9pm. Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
