PIXMA TR150 power supply input voltage question

Hopefully this hasn't been answered previously, but my search came up negative:

The TR150 printer  power supply has a 16V DC output. Does anyone know if this printer can operate on a 13V DC input?

Is your problem that you don't have the OEM power adapter?  You can find lots of them on Amazon and eBay.

Too low voltage can be harmful to the scanner, even if it appears to work. Why not just buy the correct adapter? They're pretty inexpensive.

No, that is not the problem, as I do have the adapter. I would just like to run the printer (it's not a scanner) on the stabilized 13.5V DC supply on our boat, without having to turn on the inverter to power the AC adapter...
