Canon SELPHY CP1500 prints blank photos

Hi, I got a brand new Canon SELPHY CP1500 and after printing 3 photos it started printing blanks (photo paper comes out with nothing on it). I even tried a second ink cartridge and nothing changed. Is there any advice on what I should do?

edit: the paper also looks a bit damaged after it goes through. Like if the surface of the photo paper is softly scratched.
