printer resolution

I really wanted to the Canon MG7720 printer. It was suggest by Ali Edwards for digital stamps, journal cards, and high quality 4x6 photos. It is sold out and costs double on amazon so I am looking at other printers. The MG7720 has 9600 x 2400 maximum color dpi and 600x600 black dpi. I am not sure about the difference for all in one inkjet printers versus just inkjet printers. I need the printer to print as high resolution as possible while also being able to print cardstock for journal cards/digital stamp media. I am looking at the Pixma Pro 10 and 100, The Pixma ip8720 has a resolution of 2400x9600 dpi so I assume it has high quality photos, but not sure what size it can print or the quality of cardstock prints (if it can even print them). I heard the Epson Pure Color and Picture Mate are good as well....please, any help or advice is appreciated!
