flash pops out and fires in auto mode in bright daylight, with my canon 70D

Hi,  am new to Canon 70D which was gifted to me, have started exploring this wonderful cam, noticed that the flash pops up and fires in Auto mode despite bright sunlight, it also gave error post 2-3 photos, plese help do i have to take this to a service center or is it that some settings need to change.

Sometimes it's normal for camera to enable flash during bright daylight especially back-lit shot. So it is depend on situations. It's advised to use flash as fill light in some scenes.

Second, what error message did you get?
