What if my address changes while my gear is being serviced?

I'm wanting to send my Canon 90D and my EF 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS STM in for servicing, but I can't seem to find out what support avenue to call or whatnot to ask an important question--- I'm moving at any point in the next 30 days, and I wanna know if there would be a way to ensure that should my address change before my camera is shipped back, that I can get the info updated that the camera actually comes to the updated address and not the one I used to ship the camera off for repairs with.

Which "contact us" is best to use for this question?

Greetings @vmosemann.,

I wouldn't send my gear in for service until you have a permanent address.  It's unlikely that your gear will be with Canon for a long period as spring is the beginning of the "busy" season for service.  Still, you want to be certain Canon has a place to ship your gear one servicing is complete.  Trying to change this midstream is not recommended.

Start by visiting MyCanon.  Log in or create an account.

MyCanon

Once logged in, use the menu on the left to select Product Registration.

Once you gear is registered, select Service and Support below.  Then select the item(s) you want support on.  Once selected choose the service desired.  Repair or Cleaning & Maintenance.

If repair, describe your issue in detail.  For cleaning, select the service.  Note, for repair (out of warranty) you will be given an estimate.  For cleaning you will receive a flat fee for the service.  Fee's are subject to change based on inspection.  Example, if you send a broken lens in for cleaning, you will be contacted and asked to approve repair to return the lens to a functioning state before it can be cleaned.

You will be provided shipping information. Pack your gear with care and buy insurance.  These are the primary shipping locations;

Note, do not send accessories in with your gear.  Battery, storage media, lens filter, etc.  Then sit back and let Canon perform the repair or service.  You will receive communication and tracking when your gear in on it's way back to you.

Throwing a move into the mix I would only use one option, call direct.

Unless it is absolutely essential that the camera be repaired in the next 30 days my recommendation would be to wait until you move.
