Is Anyone Else Having Zero Luck Getting Help from Canon Support?
Hi everyone,
I honestly cannot believe how difficult it has been to get any help with my Canon account (myid.canon). I’ve been trying to reset my password for days now. I’ve used the “Forgot Password” option multiple times, but I never receive any email from Canon. I’ve checked every folder — spam, junk, trash — nothing.
Out of options, I called Canon’s support line, which seems to be the only way to reach anyone. I spoke with Carolyn, who said she would “elevate” my issue. Two days later — still no update, no email, no call, nothing. I called again, spoke with her once more, and was told there’s nothing more she can do after it’s been “elevated.” When I asked for an email or any other contact method, she told me there isn’t one.
Seriously? A global company like Canon doesn’t have a customer support email? That just doesn’t make sense. I’ve searched their entire website trying to find another way to reach someone, but there’s absolutely nothing.
For context, I’ve purchased four Canon cameras and seven lenses — five of them L series — so I’m not new to Canon and I have been a Canon client since 2010. I’ve always trusted the brand, but this experience has been extremely disappointing.
Is anyone else running into the same issue or found a way to actually get account support? Because at this point, it feels like Canon has made it impossible to get help when something goes wrong.
Thanks in advance for any advice,

Hi there,
Thanks for posting on the Canon Community. Can you please let us know what products you're working with currently? Are you getting any error messages when trying to get a password reset or is the email just not coming through?

I’m unable to use my Camera Connect app because I can’t sign in to my Canon account. When I try to log in online, it says my username or password is incorrect, even though I know they are right.
As I mentioned in my initial post, I’ve used the “Forgot Password” option several times, but I never receive any emails from Canon.
All my cameras and lenses are registered under this account, and I was also planning to purchase a CPS membership — but I can’t do any of that until I regain access.
I just want to be able to sign in to my account again.

Hello,
You're not alone — Canon’s account support has been frustratingly opaque lately. I had a similar issue and only got traction after posting on their official Twitter and tagging @CanonUSA. Try reaching out via social media or their feedback form if available. It’s absurd that loyal customers are left in the dark.
Best Regards,
Kevin London

Don't do that.
The same small team handles the Twitter account that moderates the Community, and we cannot reset your password if you can't. If a help desk ticket needs to be created, it can take a while (several business days) for your account to be recreated.
Otherwise, reset your password by logging into your Canon Account at https://canon.us/account or https://myid.canon/

I recently had an issue with my account, couldn't see me gear and spoke to Troy, excellent rep and he resolved my issue.
While talking to him I explained some of our guests frustration. He suggested that people having challenges should select tech support, it will ask you which piece of gear you are having challenges. While you aren't having a challenge with gear, just state a piece of gear you have registered and it will take you to support.
I called 800-652-2666 and after a brief hold reached Troy, he resolved my challenge in about 5 minutes.
