Unable to Find Canon Brand Can Motors

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to know why did Canon decide to stop producing the EN-22 series Can Motors? They're the best designed motor I've ever used in my Model railroad business and now I no longer can get them.

Thanks,

Logan Thurman

We are just volunteers answering questions about cameras and printers, I am afraid we have no idea why Canon might have stopped making these.

Well that's sucks. I do think it's annoying that they stopped producing the very thing that gets model railroaders to update their model trains with. Now I have no way to repair my own brass steam locomotives because of it being discontinued.

You could give Canon a call at 1-800-OK-CANON and see if they can point you to someone.

I don't have to worry, because my steam locomotive is powered by ....steam.

Hello! That's not us. We're Canon, the imaging company. I think you're looking for Cannon & Company. 😊

Nah, dude. I know which canon and the motors even have your logo. That other company doesn't make motors. You need to look at the Canon Precision motors. You guys used to make them, but now it no longer is being made.

I've worked at Canon for nearly 16 years and have never heard about these, which tells me they're super niche!
The current motors available on our site are HERE. You can also reach out to that group by phone at 408-468-2320 on weekdays during normal business hours.
