Hello. There seem to be a number of posts in various printer topics relating to Windows 10 and scanners not working. This should probably be bumped up to the Canon support line for their info and investingation.

Hi, John!
Thanks for the information. Whenever a major new operating system is released, we, like many other companies, don't get detailed technical information about it until its official release. Only then can we begin formally testing our current product line to find out which models still work with the drivers made for the previous OS version, and those models whose drivers will need updating or rebuilding from scratch.
From there, it can take a while for us to get the drivers fully developed and tested thoroughly enough to ensure they work properly. This is why it's rare for any company with a product line as wide as ours to have a full slate of updated drivers from day one of a new OS's launch or even during its beta testing period. It's also why new drivers roll out gradually over the course of weeks and months, as it's an ongoing process.
With all that said, we're hard at work developing and continuously revising our drivers to get them up to date for Windows 10, and we thank you and all Canon users for your patience. We hope to have it all done soon.
Thanks again for choosing Canon!
