Canon Website Login Problem

MikeE3
Contributor

When I try to log into the Canon Website from my computer browser with my last know password I get error - email address or password invalid. When I click the link to reset my password from the email I'm sent, then enter a new  password and submit the for I just get a pop-up box saying an error has occurred (but not explaination of the error).

If I use my email address and try to create a new account I get a message this email account already exists.

Any help from other forum members or moderators would be appreciated.

Thanks for replying ... I did that along with deleting all Canon cookies ... still have the same problem.

Are you allowing cookies?  While normally I don't allow any at all on any web site, a few act weird if I don't accept necessary cookies... Canon's web site being one of them.

Also, try a different browser.  There is no rhyme or reason since my privacy settings are identical on both Safari and Firefox (very strict)... but Firefox is quirky on the Canon site, Safari is not.  However, when I try to log on to Barnes & Nobel the exact opposite happens.  Safari comes back with constant errors (user name or password is incorrect), yet Firefox lets me in with the same credentials.  To make the difference in browsers even weirder... my online banking through Safari can do everything except transfer funds.  I have to log in to Firefox to transfer funds from one account to the other.  But on Firefox, I can't pay my monthly bills from the bank web site, I only can from Safari.

So yeah... try a different browser.  Isn't technology great? lol
