Hello,
I've been having an incredibly difficult time getting to the bottom of a projector issue.
One of the projectors in my classroom (Canon WUX5800Z, with Ultra Short lens) has a discoloration on the edges of objects. For instance, black text on a white background appears normal but with a thin upper edge/shadow above the black that is purple and a lower one that is yellow.
I've tried adjusting sharpness, gamma, and focus, but to no avail. The item is almost brand new (<1 yr) and only one of the two projectors is experiencing the issue.
Any thoughts on what additional troubleshooting could be done?
Thank you!

This sounds like chromatic aberration.
Is the lens fixed, or can it zoom? If it can zoom, try moving the projector further back and zoom in. That would reduce the angles of the projected light (perhaps also avoiding the usage of the edges of the lens?) and may decrease the aberration effects.
