Need Assistance Connecting BR-E1 Remote to EOS M200.

I follow all the steps, red light flashes, camera signals connected. When I press shutter button or AF button on remote the red light on remote flashed rapidly for a bit and then goes out. Camera doesn't respond.

If I check connection info on camera it says "Connecting". I press the W&T buttons. Camera signals "Connected". If I release the W&T buttons camera goes back to says "Connecting".

I tried with two BR-E1 remotes and a BR-E2.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

What is drive mode setting on the camera? I assume you did all this stuff.

Hey John,

Thus far, I've only paired my BR-E1 with one camera.  It only allows pairing with one camera at a time.  The instructions state you have to remove the registration on the camera menus.  I didn't do that with my R50v so I'll try to connect it to my R5 C later today.

If the LED continues to flash rapidly after putting the camera into pairing mode and holding the W and T buttons for a few seconds, pairing was not successful.  Supposedly you're supposed to be able to try again (holding W&T).

See page 320 and reset the network settings on the camera.  Then try again.

I'll try with mine and get back to you.

That was it. I should have checked the manual instead of assuming it was the same as my R6. 😖
