Just curious what laptops you guys would recommend for editing?

I would think the innards would be the main factor in editing. I don't do a lot of detailed editing, too.

A lot of the suggestions would depend on what you are editing, photos, video?

I use am M3 Pro MacBook Pro and it flies through almost everything I can give it; stills or video. The key factors are super fast storage access speed, a decent amount of memory, and a graphics processor that is well supported by the software you want to use. If you shoot video then you will likely need the "right" graphics card to deal with H.265 footage from an EOS R series camera shooting in HDR PQ mode, the apple M processors work well with this.

p4pictures is right on.

One other issue is whether this is a field solution or the main solution at home. Depending on your fussiness, you may need to look at screen profiling for a Color Management Workflow.
