Install PIXMA MX479

Just purchased PIXMA MX479 and am having trouble installing.  Printer "searches" for access point for a long, long time then mssg says "Timed out".  Also, software cd in the box says "Windows" and I have a Mac. CD opens, but has no INSTALL button to click.  I'm happy to install using usb cable at this point...just want the **bleep** thing to print!

To have a better understanding of your issue, please let everyone know what operating system (Windows Vista/7/8 or Mac OS 10.X) you are using. That way, community will be able to assist you with suggestions appropriate for your product.
