How to empty buffer on canon d420 printer

I am having trouble stopping my canon d420 printer from printing. Pressing the job cancel button or turning off the printer and pulling the wall plug doesn't help. Just keeps cranking out pages ...

I solved the problem by going into the Windows 7 printer devices and emptied the buffer there
