For Canoscan 5600F I would feel better if the manual actually mentioned how to clean the glass.

I have a Canoscan 5600F.  The manual gives no advice about cleaning the glass.  Since I have to guess, I would say wiping it with the premoistened "Endust" wipes that I use on my screens, for starters, but there should really be some proefessional advice.
