Camera body is disgusting. These binoculars are not cheap and work well except for this problem which makes them unusable. This is a manufacturer's defect and in my opinion, Canon should compensate the customer.

I have other items like that. You would think Canon would sell a little bottle of liquid to apply to prevent this before it happens for $29.95, to make extra money, but no I have to think of this. My 18X50 Canon binoculars are always kept in the case, but I do notice a little tackiness. I am thinking of maybe a talc or something. Have a great day, from Bill in New Jersey
