Hey everyone so i have a r100 that ive been using for a while and in ready to make the upgrade. The only issue is that i want to stay with canon but for the price the nikon z6 iii sounds incredible. I was looking into the r6 ii but for the peice it seems it gets blown out of thw water by the z. That being said ive heard the specs on the r6 iii wiĺ be even better then the z so im in a bit of a situation. Do i get thw nikon or wait for the r6 iii assuming itll be better

We have no idea when the R6 mark III will be released. Never wait for the next big thing because it might not materialize, or *another* big thing will come along and muddy the waters. If the Nikon meets your needs, go for it, but note that you will have to get all new lenses.

Greetings,

We anticipate the R6 mkIII being announced on Thursday 11/6.  It could have a fully stacked 24 MP sensor like the R3 or (I'm hoping) for a 32.5 partially stacked MP sensor like the Z6 mkIII.

Since I am not a fan of Nikon, I'd wait to see what gets announced this week.  Rumors say announcement 11/6 and shipping 11/20, keep your fingers crossed. 🤞

I would wait unless I had no lenses to have to replace.  Also look closely at the specs, a lot of "specs" that are touted by reviewers are splitting hairs.  Plus, you are unlikely to use every feature a camera has, so weigh the features and specs that mean something to you and what you shoot.
