My teenage daughter is into photography and has taken a couple of classes at school. She likes to takes photos of horses (she rides in a mounted drill team) and nature/wildlife as well as airplanes (my husband has his private pilot license). She is currently using a Canon EOS Rebel XSi that my husband and I bought many years ago. Recently she has been asking to purchase a lens for her camera: SIGMA 150-600mm f/5-6.3 FOR CANON EF-MOUNT. My husband and I were discussing taking advantage of the upcoming Black Friday sales to perhaps upgrade her camera but I know very little about photography and have no idea what camera/camera bundle would be a nice upgrade. Do I stick with a DSLR or go with mirrorless? What is a decent camera but also the best bang for our buck? I would appreciate any recommendations/ advice. Thank you!
