Blurry photos with canon EOS Rebel T3

Hello, I have the canon EOS Rebel T3. It was my husbands before he died, and my teenage daughter has shown an interest in photograph so we gave it to her. She has been bring it to school and not being the most careful, but the lens doesn’t look to be damage. The photos are just blurry and unfocused unlike before. Idk if a lens issue (we did clean it) or a setting thing and would like some help.

Are you sure the AF/ MF switch on the lens wasn’t inadvertently switched to MF. Make sure it’s set to AF and retest the camera outside on a bright sunny day. With the top mode dial set to Full Auto (Green Square, A+, CA). Then see if the pictures are in focus. Low light will cause the camera to use a longer shutter speed. Resulting in camera shake being visible please post a picture in the forum.
