Camera + lens for beginners under 1.5k

Hi guys I’m new to photography and I haven’t got a camera of my own yet. I have some experience with my school cameras(R8, R7, 90D, 200D) but I’m still not an expert of camera function and settings yet. I currently do event photography and sports sometimes( many different sports). I’m looking for a new mirrorless camera together with the lens for ideally under 1.5k sgd ( or arnd 1,200 usd) also I don’t mind getting a second hand camera. I’m currently based in Thailand and Singapore so any local source for cheap equipment is also greatly appreciated

If you want a mirrorless camera with a lens, you might look at the R10 with an 18-150mm lens kit. The run about $1,499 new. It would be a start. If, down the road, you decide you need more reach, you can save up for a bigger lens.

If you are able to get a refurbished package, you might have enough left over to get memory cards, a carrying bag, filters, etc.

I would compare all of the cameras close to your price range and really look at what is important to you.  These may be items like full frame vs APS-C, IBIS or not, etc.  Whatever level camera you get will take learning, so don't think you need a "beginner" camera, get what you think you will need so you don't outgrow it quickly.
