I’ve got my EOS Rebel SL3 connected by USB to my MacBook M4 running Sequoia.
i can see pictures from my camera in Image and can use the camera through the EOS Webcam Tool but it doesn’t show up as an option in Zoom or Google Meet? I have the security settings turned in for the EOS app. What am I missing?
i have restarted the laptop several times
Thanks!!

So, this is also called the 250D camera. And I can open the EOS Utility 3, go to Live View shoot, and see the view from my camera. But, when I open Zoom, Loom, Riverside, Meet, etc. my EOS camera is not listed as an option. Any ideas on where to fix that on a MacBook?
I double checked my camera privacy and security settings and it has access to all of those programs but it just doesn't show up...

Hi brianwpiper,
There are a couple of things to double check. The first is that in your reply you mentioned that you can see the camera when you use EOS Utility 3. That does indicate the camera and computer are communicating, but EOS Utility 3 is not the webcam software. When you are using the camera as a web cam make sure that EOS Utility 3 is completely closed. Sometimes if EOS Utility 3 and the EOS Webcam Utility are running at the same time it causes a conflict and prevents the webcam output.
The other thing is to double check you have the current version of the EOS Webcam Utility installed. It is available HERE. Once you are on the web page click on the Software & Drivers button and the current version is EOS Webcam Utility Pro V2.3d.

Thanks, Hazel_T!
I updated the webcam utility, tried to adjust the system settings to match their instructions, but I don't see Camera Extensions in my Extensions menu. And I still don't see the camera as an option in Zoom or Google Meet.

Hi brianwpiper,
The next thing to double check is if you open the EOS Webcam Utility by itself and plug the camera into your computer with a USB cable do you see the video feed in the EOS Webcam Utility? Another thing is to make sure the camera is in video mode when you connect it. The EOS Rebel SL3 sometimes won't connect to the EOS Webcam Utility unless it is in movie mode.
If the issue continues then we would recommend trying a different USB cable. Sometimes if the cable has degraded it can not have enough bandwidth to output the live video feed. If you need a new cable the EOS Rebel SL3 uses a Micro-B to Type-A USB cable. That is a standardized cable type that should be available in most electronics stores and online retailers.

Hazel_T,
Thanks! I don't see the video feed in the Webcam Utility. I don't see the camera recognized anywhere in the app, I just get the main screen.
The camera is in movie mode and the cable is the same one I used when this was all working on my PC. And it does show up in the EOS Utility 3, so I wouldn't think it was the cable. It's like the Webcam software just doesn't find the camera.
