Cannot use M200 as webcam since updating to Sequoia

I've uninstalled old versions of the webcam utilities and installed Version 2.3.15 (2.3.15.1056) but the only thing I get now is the screen where it acts like it's not detected. If I go into camera control it will read the camera and I can use it but as far as webcam usage goes nothing is passing through.  Screenshot 2024-11-13 at 19.29.57.png

Hello greenteagod,

We would recommend exiting and closing any applications that may be running on your computer, or in your task tray that may be connected to your camera, or using the camera’s LiveView video signal. For example: Canon's EOS Utility or an application connected to the camera like another video conferencing app. When you connect the camera, there is an icon in the top right corner of your computer screen for EOS Utility. Make sure that you close that. It will keep the Webcam Utility from connecting to the camera.

I ended up just rolling back the entire OS, which was a pain to do, but the only way to get webcam functionality back. I dealt with the same stuff previously, from Canon, when I upgraded to Sonoma, it took many many months for the utility to actually work.

After upgrading to Sequoia I fully uninstalled all canon apps and fresh installed just the EOS Webcam Utility Pro, and nothing but that, it did not work. So wipe the entire machine, reinstall Sonoma, reinstall the webcam utility for that OS and it works just fine.  I might try this again in some months, hoping Canon fixes whatever is going wrong but I rely on this for daily meetings and need it to simply function.
